Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back ribs (about 3 lbs each)
- 3 tablespoons Kinder's Hickory Brown Sugar seasoning
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup Kinder's Bourbon Apple BBQ Sauce
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Wood chips (apple or hickory)
Instructions
- 1
Remove the membrane from the back of each rib rack by sliding a butter knife under it and pulling with a paper towel.
- 2
Combine Kinder's Hickory Brown Sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Rub generously over both sides of the ribs.
- 3
Wrap ribs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- 4
Preheat smoker to 225F. Add soaked wood chips to the smoker box.
- 5
Place ribs bone-side down on the smoker. Smoke for 3 hours, spritzing with apple cider vinegar every hour.
- 6
Wrap ribs in foil with a drizzle of honey. Return to the smoker for 2 more hours.
- 7
Mix Kinder's Bourbon Apple BBQ Sauce with a splash of vinegar. Unwrap ribs and brush generously with the glaze.
- 8
Smoke uncovered for 15-20 more minutes until the glaze is set and sticky.
- 9
Rest for 10 minutes, then slice between the bones and serve.
Pro Tips
- *The 3-2-1 method (3 hours smoke, 2 hours wrapped, 1 hour glazed) is foolproof for ribs.
- *If you don't have a smoker, use a charcoal grill with indirect heat.
- *Apple wood chips complement the bourbon apple glaze perfectly.
- *Let the rub sit overnight for the deepest flavor penetration.
