- 2 tablespoons Kinder's Buttery Steakhouse seasoning
- 4 slices American cheese
- 4 brioche buns, toasted
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Pickles, lettuce, tomato, and onion for serving
- Special sauce: 3 tbsp mayo, 1 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp relish, 1 tsp Kinder's The Blend
Instructions

Divide ground beef into 4 equal balls (about 4 oz each). Do not season yet.
- 2
Heat a cast iron skillet or flat-top griddle over high heat until smoking hot. Add a pat of butter.

Place a beef ball on the hot surface and immediately smash flat with a sturdy spatula or burger press. Season the top with Kinder's Buttery Steakhouse seasoning.
- 4
Cook for 2-3 minutes without moving until the edges are deeply browned and crispy.
- 5
Flip the patty, add a slice of American cheese, and cook for 1-2 more minutes.
- 6
Mix together the special sauce ingredients.
- 7
Toast brioche buns in the pan with a bit of butter.
- 8
Assemble burgers with special sauce, patty, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and onion.
Pro Tips
- *The key to a great smash burger is a screaming hot pan and not touching the patty until it's time to flip.
- *80/20 beef gives the best flavor and juiciness for smash burgers.
- *Press the patty only once — when you first place it on the griddle.
- *American cheese melts perfectly over smash burgers. Don't skip it.
